Liquid Ring Vacuum Pump is a kind of rough vacuum pump. The ultimate vacuum it can obtain is 2000~4000Pa, and the vacuum degree of the unit combined with the vacuum pump can reach 1~600Pa.
Water ring pumps are suitable for conveying gas-liquid mixtures. This type of pump can also be used as aspirator and air compressor. The absolute vacuum it produces is relatively high. The compression ratio depends on the pressure of the rotating water ring and the size and shape of the discharge port in the side wall. Water ring pumps can also be used as compressors, called water ring compressors, which are low-pressure compressors with a pressure range of 1~2×10^5Pa gauge pressure.
The water ring pump was originally used as a self-priming water pump, and then gradually used in many industrial sectors such as petroleum, chemical industry, machinery, mining, light industry, medicine and food. Due to the rapid development of vacuum application technology, water ring pumps have always been valued in terms of obtaining rough vacuum. Because the gas compression in the water ring pump is isothermal, it can pump flammable and explosive gases, and also dust and water-containing gases. Therefore, the application of water ring pumps is increasing.
The working fluid of the water ring vacuum pump can also be other suitable liquids. No matter which working fluid is used, it is collectively called the liquid ring vacuum pump. Water ring vacuum pump is the most common and widely used pump in liquid ring vacuum pump.

1.Simple structure, no suction and exhaust valves, stable and reliable operation, no metal surfaces rubbing against each other inside the pump, suitable for filtration, vacuum drying, sterilization, pneumatic transportation, etc. It is also used in single-stage or multi-stage fire pumps or marine pumps as a Vacuum Pump to fill the vane pump with water. The water ring pump has single-chamber and double-chamber structures.
2. The structure is compact, and the pump speed is high. Generally, it can be directly connected with the motor without a deceleration device. Therefore, with a small structural size, a large exhaust volume can be obtained, and the floor space is also small.
3. Disadvantages: low efficiency, generally around 30%, better up to 50%.
